By accessing or using StableSSL, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access our service.

Description of Service

StableSSL provides SSL/TLS certificate monitoring and alerting services. We monitor your domains' SSL certificates and notify you of upcoming expirations and certificate changes.

Account Registration

To use our service, you must:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Promptly update your account information if it changes
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

Subscription Plans and Billing

Free Plan

Our Free plan provides basic monitoring features with limitations on domain count and check frequency. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Free plan at any time.

Paid Plans

For paid subscriptions:

  • Billing occurs automatically on a monthly or annual basis
  • Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice
  • Refunds are provided only as required by law
  • You may cancel at any time; service continues until the end of your billing period
  • Failed payments may result in service suspension or termination

Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. You agree to provide accurate payment information and authorize us to charge your payment method.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
  • Monitor domains you do not own or have permission to monitor
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
  • Use automated tools to create multiple accounts or abuse the service
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of our service
  • Use the service to transmit malware or malicious code
  • Resell or redistribute our service without permission

Service Availability and Limitations

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee 100% uptime. Our service is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not responsible for:

  • Service interruptions or downtime
  • Data loss or corruption
  • Missed notifications or alerts
  • Certificate expiration despite monitoring
  • Third-party service failures

Rate Limits and Fair Use

We implement rate limits to ensure fair service for all users. Excessive use may result in throttling or account suspension. API access is subject to additional rate limits based on your subscription plan.

Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of StableSSL are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our permission.

User Data and Privacy

Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of your data, and you grant us the right to use it solely to provide our service.

API Terms

If you use our API:

  • You must comply with rate limits and usage guidelines
  • You must keep your API keys secure
  • We may revoke API access for violation of terms
  • API availability varies by subscription plan

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms or for any reason with notice. Upon termination:

  • Your access to the service will be revoked
  • You remain responsible for any outstanding fees
  • We may delete your data after a reasonable period

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StableSSL and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of our service.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless StableSSL from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these terms or misuse of our service.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with commercial arbitration rules, except where prohibited by law.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or service notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
